On June 30, 2026, Magnet-Schultz GmbH & Co. KG closed its 114th fiscal year with a revenue of €364 million, representing growth of just over 11% compared to the previous year. The MSMgroup also grew by approximately 10%, with a consolidated global revenue of €425 million. This is attributable to global growth in existing automotive and hydraulic applications as well as new projects for commercial vehicles. Hydrogen applications, aerospace, and defense are also developing positively as demanding niche markets. With 1,800 employees, the headquarters in the Allgäu region is currently operating at a high level of capacity, has approximately 50 open positions, and is planning 3% growth for the new fiscal year 2026/27. Worldwide, about 2,450 people work for the MSMgroup, with the BCC site in Brasov/Kronstadt offering the greatest growth potential.
The three most significant challenges facing German industry and the economy remain high labor costs combined with one of the lowest effective annual working times worldwide, an expensive and increasingly unreliable energy supply, as well as rampant bureaucracy and regulation. On the positive side, by international standards, Germany continues to benefit form a high level of education—not exclusively academic, but also, thanks to the dual vocational training system, particularly among skilled workers—a comparatively good infrastructure, and a high level of location attractiveness, especially in the Allgäu region.
